I was asked today if I was a knitter.
See, I put these wool pants on my son-- knitted wool pants-- not because I want him to suffer in the heat, but because wool is excellent for cloth diapered babies. And their mommies who fear leaks. Tonight I won't really go into the finer details of wool, lanolin, urine and cloth diapers. That "101" will happen in the future... just you wait. :) The short story is that wool is very breathable and absorbs 30% of it's weight in water. Kind of a nice thing if you have a tendency to wet your pants, or spill water on yourself, or....But now I am wondering, where are my wool pants?
See, I'm on my knees, on the damp carpet, at the computer typing in a very awkward and somewhat painful position. The carpet got shampooed today. I'm trying to be "gentle" and tread lightly-- "family is coming." However, it isn't much fun when your computer is in the middle of the carpet and you can't really get to it without putting yourself in the awkward and painful position I'm currently in. My knees ache. My ankles feel like they are on fire. Hip flexors are flexing. It's all a little too much at the moment. (Drama queen.)
However, the greatest fun are my soaked pajama bottoms. Yep, my knees are wet... hence the reason I wonder where my wool pants are.
